Youth Now Employed

The Challenge

Today, over 40% of the world’s youth are either unemployed, or have a job but live in poverty. And over 73 million of them are university graduates – our best and our brightest.

The challenge of getting youth into productive work is a global one that demands nothing less than global, coordinated action.

As Nelson Mandela said, “Unemployment is not due to lack of education, but lack of opportunity.”

Investments to support young people in the labour market have increased worldwide in recent times, yet there is still limited coordination and insufficient scale to address the full dimension of the youth employment challenge.

We envision a world where youth around the world do not struggle to find employment in their field of study and are empowered to achieve their dreams.
