As part of the Study Melbourne Career Catalyst program, Outcome.Life and HEX are proud to introduce a world-leading remote cadetship program. Specifically designed for students in Malaysia studying with Victorian education providers, the program is valued at $5,000 AUD. However, the program will be made free for a select number of applicants, thanks to the support of the Victorian Government.
This program is just one of many opportunities being provided to Victoria’s international students currently based in Malaysia through the new Study Melbourne Hub Kuala Lumpur.

Part 1: Innovation Sprint
In this do-it-when-it-suits-you innovation program, you’ll be rocketed from curious recruit to innovation trail-blazer. HEX will give you an initiation into innovation principles – then push you out of the nest. Your mentors will power up your employability stats with a crash course on soft and tech skills. And by the end of it, you’ll be pitching ideas to industry leaders along with the best of them.
HEX will bring the experts, support, global network, and the tech. You bring the talent.

Intakes: Monthly, on the 1st of each month.
Part 2: The Cadetship
Our Victorian government-approved cadetship program is specifically designed to get you ready for the Australian workforce. Through our program, you will gain real-world industry experience in a 12-week remote cadetship with a Victorian company, build your foundational skills, select your own cadetship, build your professional network, and receive ongoing support from our team.
More than half of our alumni go on to work in their field of interest within four months of finishing our program.
What Happens Now?
The Process
1. Apply
Submit your details using the form at the end of this page. Applications close late October with successful applicants to be announced early November.
2. Get Scholarship
Your eligibility for the program will be assessed. Scholarships will be announced by Friday, 19th of November.
3. Train
If you’re accepted into the program, you'll be enrolled in HEX's one-week Innovation Sprint in November.
4. Match
Our team will match you with a host company and a remote cadetship opportunity suited to your needs and interests.
5. Interview
Select an cadetship opportunity. You can interview with any matched remote cadetships you’re interested in.
6. Intern
Accept an cadetship offer with the host company you’d like to work with and intern with them remotely for 12 weeks.

What is Career Catalyst?
Study Melbourne Career Catalyst is a new integrated, strengths-based employability program to support international students’ employment transition, career development and connections to industry.
The program will also strengthen the cultural capacity, social inclusion and empowerment of international students by raising awareness of international students as a highly-skilled and globally connected talent pool. It will take a holistic approach to employment and economic participation of international students, aligning with the government’s innovation and inclusion agenda.
